     The WCA is a commercial construction enterprise owned and operated by the Ute Mountain Ute Indian Tribe. WCA provides comprehensive construction services to a wide range of clients including federal, state, and local municipalities, agriculture concerns, building and heavy construction.
     The Weeminuche management team and staff brings over 120 years of experience in all phases of construction and related engineering disciplines. These include oil and gas field construction, residential and commercial buildings, heavy construction, road building, canals and water systems, sand and gravel, and municipal improvements.
     It is our company policy to utilize this comprehensive experience and provide each project with management and field support to insure that our client's needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner.

Since 1985...

     WCA was formed in 1985 by the Tribal Council of the Ute Mountain Ute Indian Tribe and qualifies as a minority business. WCA does business in all the Four Corner states.
     All projects are preformed on a merit shop basis with maximum use of Indian laborers and craftsmen. Additional skilled craftsmen from the local work force complement our staff allowing us to handle projects over a wide range of size and scope.
     Since our inception as a construction organization, WCA has completed a variety of large and small projects in the Four Corners region. In the process, WCA has developed a reputation for superior construction at competitive prices. Now you can put these services to work for you.

We Do The Heavy Work...

     Weeminuche Construction Authority has extensive experience in heavy construction including site preparation, clearing, earthwork and grading, dams, drainage, utilities featuring all types of pipe and infrastructure, plus gravel, concrete, and asphalt roads and surfacing. Foundations and structures include block, reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, wood, and timber frames.
     Project highlights include extensive road construction in Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico and the Towaoc Irrigation Canal Project which brings water to the Ute Mountain Ute Reservation from the McPhee Reservoir.
     Our municipal and utility capabilities range from waste and waste water treatment plants, water and sewage transmissions lines to pump stations, lift stations, bridges, and tanks. Notable achievements in this area include septic and water system improvements in Mesa Verde National Park, installations for the Bureau of Reclamation, and the Towaoc laterals for the Dolores Project.
     No project is too large or too small. Conventional housing, adobe housing, commercial and industrial buildings, specialty buildings, pre-engineered steel buildings, and remodeling are a few of the project completed over the past several years. Highlights include the Colorado Welcome Center in Cortez, visitor and park support facilities at Canyonlands National Park, adobe and wood frame houses as well as complete subdivision construction of houses, roads, and infrastructure for the Ute Mountain Housing Authority.
     Oil field construction includes access roads, well pads, general repairs, pressure piping, and roustabout services. Agriculture construction services feature canals, pipelines, land reclamation, and irrigation projects.

We own over four hundreds pieces of major construction equipment. Our excavating, transport, material handling, and moving units are all in good operating condition. Our total construction labor force depends on current contract levels, usually ranging up to several hundred employees.
